Turn it in and you are sent back to kill the bad guys, and while doing so you find their general and kill him too. Turn that in and you are sent back to kill the general you just killed.
This is a classic example of bad quest design. I don't care if they triple the number of things you have to do just to make it take the same amount of time, but when they do this it just shatters any story content I was feeling. View in 3D Links.
