What does spellsteal work on

Works great on bubbles and shields. Thanks for the comments. All are very helpful, particularly re the FocusInterruptSounds. Prompts of any type are helpful. Notable highlights include: A 50 percent increased casting speed buff from a Karazhan boss. An arcane power from another mage while combustion was up.

Our mage's tank was not amused at the effort it took to keep aggro off the mage. A plus spell damage buff from the Menders in the Botanica. Slowfall, from another mage, immediately after chasing said mage off a cliff. Our mage floated down comfortably as he watched his opponent fall to his death. This is possibly the best thing ever done in World of Warcraft, and has made a mage friend of mine comment that he will always be defending the Lumber Mill in Arathi Basin at 70 just so he can do this.

Who's got the idea when did the change happen? Comment by Battleguard It hasn't been mentioned before and I think it's important: stealing a buff with charges such as Water Shield will reset the number of charges to the maximum. In other words: if you steal it from a shaman who has only one charge left, you still get a buff with 3. Also tested with Inner Fire. Comment by With this spell is heal over time stealable?

Comment by Zeshar Be warned: If this spell is reflected by a warrior, you will lose one of your own buffs. Fortunately, the warrior does not gain the buff you lost.

Though I doubt you'll lose any sleep over a warrior buffed with Arcane Intellect. Comment by Is it Possible to Steal Slow fall from another mage? So they fall down and get an instant kill. Comment by Thottbot Anyone who think the mana cost is uppsetting is a dumbass. Mages blink all the time, if so only to get first to capture a base in AB.

I dont think that any mage is thinking -hm, should i blink now or just frost nova and run to save mana? I belive this spell will be used a lot, really great spell as it both give you a new buff and remove a buff from another player. Comment by Thottbot In shadow labs some mobs turn into a green dog. You can steal this form. It's useless but it looks cool :. Comment by Thottbot I dont find this post really good actually.

All you have done here is writing how you would duel a mage that only uses basic spells. And before you start whining about 4,5k pyro crits is not possible or something. I'm 68 and did a crit last night on a level 67 mob pewpew, my point of view. Comment by Thottbot pvp normally isnt one on one anyway Comment by Thottbot The important point is that the target loses the buff; the fact that the mage gets a two minute buff is really beside the point.

Putting a Mage at a mana disadvantage isn't that easy, either. Mana jewels, Evocation. Can Innervate be spellstolen? Add that to the list then. Presence of Mind would appear to be a Magic buff, as well Comment by Thottbot Does a grounding totem stop spellsteal? Comment by Thottbot Most of the pulls in the first section of botanica have some sort of priest blood elf called "Bloodward Mender" mob in them.

Too bad i'm just a plain old fire mage and didn't have arcane power or I could of really seen some big numbers. Some other fun things I've stolen is a Fire shield buff from the astromages in Mechanar that deals fire damage to everything hostile around you. Overall this spell kinda eats up your mana, but it's nice in the right situations and can save your priest a lot of mana, or the party a lot of time.

Although I was very disapointed when I found out I can't steal shadowform from priests, what a bummer. It's very nice for pvp because of the fact you can steal so many spells that can either seriously gimp an enemy or help you out. So unless you needed to steal the HoP to save your own life, it wouldn't be worth Speallstealing as you can kill through it. This is a clutch spell that is entirely situational and to learn to use it to its fullest simply comes with experience and knowledge of the game.

It is most certainly extremely important and a vital aspect of mage and arena play. Great this was exaktly what i was looking for, if someone know any new spell that is very important since the post was made i would appreciate it. Thanks for the help Kraroc. I would really recommend stealing "Dark Intent" from any warlock since its really strong buff.

In the middle of every difficulty lies opportunity.
